Your time is one of the most valuable gifts you can give! Volunteers work together with EADC staff to support our Mission. Our program and mission would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. Volunteers must have a cleared background check and complete our volunteer orientation course.
TUTOR INFORMATION
TUTORS
The Youth Literacy Program provides elementary grade students (K-5th) with an after-school program located in their community that is focused and dedicated to helping students engage in literary development and academic growth.
Tutor Expectations
Program Hours:

2 hours / twice a week
What you will be doing :

Engaging with students in One-One tutoring sessions to practice Reading and Writing skills

Homework Assistance

Build relationships with youth in the community

Help promote academic success and achievement

Improve reading scores and promote independent reading

Empower youth to feel confident in their reading

Skills, Experience, & Attitudes:

Excellent people skills, enthusiasm for helping children, respectful attitude

Creative and enthusiastic when covering lesson plans and reading selected books

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
